This is a permanent feature wall in the lobby of the new Eighth & Penn development in downtown Pittsburgh. The piece serves as both a distinctive statement installation for the lobby, as well as a screen discreetly allowing the leasing managers to have views of the lobby from their office behind the wall. The installation consists of intricate 3D printed ceramic blocks that are inset into a wooden frame and backed with colored acrylic. The unique infill pattern is inspired by the historic building’s exterior ornamentation.
